So first of all, the little guy didn't want to hold still for a second, the ultrasound tech had the hardest time locating everything long enough to get a picture so the face pictures are already pretty alien when they get a really good one, but even more so with our little guy because they were pictures in motion. But hey I still think they are adorable. He really enjoyed playing with his hands (part of the reason it was so hard to get a picture of his face) he kept scratching his face and playing with his umbilical cord- we had an awesome picture of him holding it in both hands, but I had a little mishap and in trying to preserve it, I accidentally destroyed this wonderful picture, much to my complete horror. What kind of mother does that...well apparently I do. He also shook his head at us quite a bit, the ultrasound tech kept commenting on how much he was moving around and how disagreeable he was toward the camera...I wonder if this is a sign of things to come...
Now maybe this would embarass our little guy terribly but although doctors will never say that they are 100% sure on the gender, it was pretty easy for them to get some good shots of our baby and it is pretty undeniable that he's a little guy- apparently very proud of his manhood already.
David and I are so so excited, mostly because he appears to have all of his limbs and organs in tact- and everything appears to be very normal- at 20 weeks he is measuring at 12 oz. and is in the 70th percentile for his height. David is proud he was able to create a little man-child, and I am so thrilled that I get the chance to be a mom! What a great day!
